FAW Football Leaders Award

£40.00

A 15 hour course providing a basic introduction to the organisation of football practices in a fun, safe environment with an emphasis on skill development. This is a mandatory award for all coaches involved in junior football in Wales. Course Resource provided. Please use the course calendar to find a course in your local area.



FAW Goalkeepers Award

£30.00

A six hour course providing a basic introduction to the organisation and delivery of goalkeeper specific activities. The course will focus on developing candidate skills in the organisation of practices in a fun, safe, learning environment. Course Resource provided. FAW First Aid for Football Awareness

£25.00

A three hour course developing an awareness of first aid techniques within a football environment. Please use the course calendar to find a course in your local area.



Welfare & Child Protection - A Guide to Best Practice

£25.00

A three hour workshop to support candidates in developing good practice when working with children and vulnerable adults. The workshop will focus on identifying poor practice and recognising signs, symptoms and forms of abuse and how to react to concerns or disclosures. It will also provide advice on how to identify people and organisations that can help and provide support in such situations. Please use the course calendar to find a course in your local area.



Time to Listen Workshop (Pre requisites: Child Welfare and Protection Workshop)

For who: Safeguarding Officer at Clubs but open to all coaches. A workshop suitable for Club Welfare officers who have attended the Welfare & Child Protection Workshop

The workshop will include:

-improving awareness and evaluation of best practice,

 -those elements of legislation and government guidance that are relevant to safeguarding children's welfare

 -identifying the specific roles and responsibilities of statutory agencies



McDonald's Coaching Workshops

Free

A range of local workshops that aim to provide support and information for coaches working at grass roots level with junior clubs in Wales. The courses also form part of the FAW revalidation requirements. Please use the course calendar to find a course in your local area.

FAW Footballers with a Disability Practical Course

£20.00

A 6 hour practical course providing coaches with an insight into adapting coaching sessions for disabled footballers in a fun and safe environment. The course will assist, supplement and support the coaches existing experiences in this field.

FAW Footballers with a Disability Workshop

£20.00

A 3 hour theory workshop providing an introduction to key considerations when working with disabled players, including language and terminology, communication techniques and health and safety.





FAW Introduction to Futsal



£20.00



A 3 hour theory and practical coaching course providing an insight into the key concepts of Futsal. Content will include key techniques and skills, a brief explanation of the Laws of the Game, example coaching practices and provide a general understanding of how Futsal should be played.
