A Wales U15 squad of 28 players has been created from the 60 boys who contested the Cymru Cup.
Boys from South Wales, North Wales and a Combined Regional squad competed in the annual two-day tournament at Connah's Quay last month and now the ones who caught the eye have been brought together as a national U15 squad.
They will come together for a two-day training camp on Sunday, August 21, and Monday, August 22, and will ultimately play in the 2018 Victory Shield.
FAW Trust Head of Player Development Richard Williams said: “The players selected are the ones who we feel are ready to become national players right now.
“Any players who have missed out on this first camp, could easily come back in.
“It’s simple. If a Welsh player is doing very well at his club, he’ll have a chance to come into the international setup at some stage.”
