Here's why you should vote for Rhosddu United's Ashley Edwards for the People's Award 2017

It's time to cast your vote for the biggest award in Welsh grassroots football

Ashley Edwards (Rhosddu United) – North East Wales FA

From a young age, Ash has had a love for football.

He defied the odds after being born with two club feet but, many operations later, he could play the game he loved.

At 18 he had the opportunity to coach and manage his local youth football team, starting with mini football, and has since taken his players through to where they are today at U14.

He devotes his free time to learning new skills and techniques to teach the team, while focusing on making training a fun and challenging for the players, aiming to bring out the best in everyone.

Unfortunately, in the summer of 2015 Ash had an injury which has now made him unable to play but he remains incredibly enthusiastic and dedicated to developing the team at Rhosddu United.

Win, lose or draw, he always focuses on the positives after every match and is always looking for ways to improve.

The team and families have the utmost respect for this all-round positive person who loves football and is passionate about the grassroots game in Wales.
