Coaching
The importance of good coaches to the development of football throughout Wales cannot be underestimated. Coaches provide the knowledge for players to succeed at the very highest levels and play a pivotal role in the development of our young players.
Whether you wish to coach at a top professional club or on a Sunday morning at grass roots level, the Welsh Football Trust, through its extensive Coach Education Programme, can offer courses suitable for all candidates at all levels.
Through a far reaching and specific programme the Welsh Football Trust can support your development through Technical, Tactical and Medical courses. Each course is delivered by fully accredited and qualified staff to provide advice and support throughout your course of training.
What do I need to do?
The first step in becoming a coach is to enrol on a Welsh Football Trust Foundation Award (See FAW Coach Education Pathway). By getting on the coaching ladder candidates have the opportunity to progress through respective coaching qualifications and to enhance their skills and knowledge in coaching.
All courses are conducted in a friendly and open manner with an emphasis placed on the sharing of experiences and views. Candidates enroling on courses should be open minded to new ideas and be open to share opinions and views on subjects covered throughout the courses.
All applications will be strictly handled on a 'first come, first served' basis. Click to download the relevant application form below:
