Effecting 10,000 Young Players through Structured Programme

Mentoring can be utilised at many levels and stages of individual and personal development and used to support all aspects of individual growth; The Welsh Football Trust mentoring programme has a large and designated workforce of external support mechanisms who are able to take away our key messages and filter, dissect and shape their gained knowledge onto the local coaches within their Region.

Our Coach Mentoring Programme to date has involved 72 mentors who are delivering at/to:

  • 4 x professional club academies
  • 5 x Boys, Girls and Disabled Regional Squads
  • 6 x Girls Performance/Development Centres
  • 8 x Tier 2 Welsh Football Academies
  • 12 x Welsh Premier League Academies
  • 800+ x Mentee coaches at the above and on a one-to-one basis on all of our Level 2-5 Coach Education courses nationwide
  • In summary, our total reach by mentors, coaches and coach educators is developing well over 10,000+ young players! 'Better Coaches, Better Players
